PandaCheckout runs on an iPad at the front desk and prints visitor badges to a Brother label printer. There’s no proprietary hardware — use what you have, or buy the recommended models below from any retailer you like.
No proprietary hardware Buy anywhere Reuse existing iPads
The front-desk kiosk runs our iPad app. Any current iPad works — standard iPad, iPad Air, or iPad Pro. Wi-Fi only is fine; no cellular required. Schools can repurpose an existing iPad.
Prints visitor & recurring-visitor badges on 62 mm continuous roll labels. Connects to the iPad over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. This is the exact model our app is built for.
The 62 mm continuous roll labels the app prints badges on. One roll prints hundreds of badges; keep a spare on hand. Compatible with the QL-820NWB and QL-820NWBc.
Optional but recommended for a clean front-desk setup. A counter stand keeps the iPad at signing height; a floor stand with a cable lock works for unattended check-in. Any stand that fits your iPad model works.
We deliberately don’t bundle hardware. Schools already own iPads, and buying the printer and labels directly from Amazon, B&H, CDW, or your preferred office supplier is cheaper and faster than paying us to ship a box. Once your gear arrives, follow the in-app setup guide (gear icon → Setup Guide) to pair the printer and start checking in.
